Employee turnover is a good thing

Don’t be afraid of change.

Employees leaving makes for a great opportunity to change the way things are run. Humans are creatures of habit, and that’s not necessarily a good thing.

Particularly when it comes to technology, and process.

Some employees get really comfortable doing things “the way it’s always been done.” There may not be a good reason for a particular process other than that.

When employees leave, it allows the opportunity for a change in mindset, and a fresh set of eyes to revamp an old, ineffective, or outdated process.

Additionally, some get handcuffed to their systems and equipment, and fear what will happen if it’s updated or replaced. Well, a new employee doesn’t have these same fears.

Fact of the matter is simple – some employee turnover is a good thing.

Now, If your HR office is a constantly revolving door of new hires and exit interviews, then maybe there’s something seriously wrong with the operation, and the first place to look is at yourself and your management team.
